Is your Mind your Master or your Servant?

We don’t need to use our mind for thinking for more than 10% of the time. The rest of the time we can choose (1) to be in the state of no-mind, which is the state of watching the mind, questioning the mind, and investigating our thinking, and (2) to be in the state of infinite awareness.

Our thinking and its story, has for the most part, taken over. The mind has become the master instead of the servant. Watch what the mind is doing. Inquire about the mind’s assumptions and beliefs. Investigate what the mind is telling you. Is it so? Are all of these appearances, opinions and judgments really true? Be aware of the mind and all of its contents. Such an increasing awareness will begin to loosen the grip of anxiety upon you. All conflict arises from the mind. The mind conflicts with itself and with all other minds. The Real Self, on the other hand, does not conflict with itself, with the mind or with other minds. The Real Self is at peace. The body is located between the mind and the Self, and gets the full brunt of the mind’s conflicts. The Self can watch both the mind and the body. The Self, the Observer, can watch all finite things, without judgment. In this manner the Self is freed from domination by the mind and by the bodily story.

Once we begin to consciously inquire into and question the mind’s story, we free up our time and energy. Not preoccupied as much with the mind’s judgments, fears and obsessions, we have more free awareness. We begin to move out of the box of our programmed thinking. With this expanded and freer awareness, we can begin to use our God-given abilities and powers simply by awareness and choice. Ramtha suggests a list of awareness potentialities and possibilities:

I am Christ consciousness realized
I am filled with vital energy
I am the mind of God
The Father and I are one
I am the wise, all-knowing intelligence
I am awakened
I am enlightened
My consciousness is expanded
I am one with all life
I am joy
I am love
I am the God in all people and things
I am immortal
I am everything a master is
I am complete freedom
I take responsibility for my life
I am fearless
I am precognitive
I can see things others do not
My psychic abilities are fully developed
I can fly
I travel dimensionally
I live in the Now
I commune with great beings
I remember my past lives
I remember my future
I am fabulous imagination
What I imagine is real
What I imagine is my primary reality
I have the power to create my life the way I want it to be
I can create anything I want
I release and let go of the past
I master my habits
My passion is awe-inspiring
I am a master of focus
I raise my frequencies at will
My power of concentration is increasing
I can move objects with my mind
I am a healer
God flows through me at all times
I trust my impressions
My body is strong and powerful
I am radiant health and vitality
I am utter abundance
My cup runneth over
I am forgiven and born anew
I surrender to my soul’s journey and destiny

As you read through this list, realize that it is all stated in the present tense as reality, not just as potentialities and possibilities and wishes.

The Sound of Being Present

Usually we are focused on some outward object or task or even upon our thoughts and feelings. We are rarely just present, or just aware. See if you can be aware of yourself and of some object. Allow your presence to flow. I found out some very interesting things about this simple but rare act. First of all, it is an expansive experience. I seem to fill the whole room. Second, the room brightens up. The colors are sharper. Third, there is an indescribable sound which accompanies being fully present. I describe it as the sound of awareness, the sound of silence, the sound of the universe.

The sound of presence is a very high pitch echo-like sound. It must be the sound of life itself, of aliveness. I can only compare it to the sound of stars twinkling. This sound is always playing in the background. When I allow myself to be fully present, the sound becomes foreground and I wonder why I never noticed it. This sound does not seem to come from any one source, but perhaps from the source of consciousness itself. It seems that when I flow with this sound I am at the peak of efficiency and wisdom. I have found that I can enjoy the luxury of just being present, of just being aware of being aware. This almost soundless sound always accompanies being present. Let us call it the sound of consciousness. It is the same sound I heard when I was in the Redwood Forest in California, or at a giant waterfall in North Carolina, or after a huge wave breaks on the Florida seashore. It is the sound behind and within nature. It can be experienced in any moment of spiritual awareness. It must be the sound of the presence of the Infinite Good.

What is the significance of being present and of the “sound” of this presence?
1. It testifies to a 6th sense
2. It validates our connection with the Infinite Good
3. It opens the door to Peace and Wisdom
4. It transcends the limits of time and space
5. It reminds me that I am a spiritual being in the Presence of Omnipotence
6. I can access this portal of truth any time or anywhere, even if my cell phone just died
7. I meet you there in the field beyond good and evil and we experience the miracle of oneness
8. In this place I breathe the Spirit consciously
9. In this consciousness, there is no stress, no pain, no lack, no danger, no fear, no pain, no sickness, no evil and no death
10. This recurring gift is mine to renew and enjoy, even in my car or while doing chores.

The Human Body

An Enlightening Quote from Deepak Chopra:

99 % of all people, with possibly some exceptions, will take in their nervous systems less than one billionth of the stimuli that are present, and what will get in is your idea, your concept of what you think exists out there. If you don’t have the concept, you won’t even perceive it, it doesn’t exist for you. So, what we call reality is really a collection of our subjective experiences, if we happen to agree on those subjective experiences.

We look at our body as a frozen anatomical structure, when in fact the human body, and everything else in creation, is a river of intelligence, energy and information constantly renewing itself in every second of its existence. Our physical bodies are rivers of intelligence, and just as you cannot step into the same river twice because every time you step into it new water flows in, the real you cannot step into the same flesh and bones twice because in every second of your existence you are renewing your body. With every breath you inhale astronomical amounts of atoms from the universe which end up in your heart cells, and your brain cells, and your kidney cells, and so on. When you breathe out, you are breathing out atoms that are coming from every part of your body; you literally breathing out bits and pieces of your heart, and kidney, and brain tissue. Technically speaking, we are intimately sharing our organs with each other all the time. “Every atom belonging to you as well belongs to me.” This is not a poetic metaphor; it’s a fact of physiology. In fact, right this moment in a physical body we have millions atoms that once were in the bodies of Christ, or Moses, or Buddha, or Leonardo da Vinci. Think of anyone that has ever existed on this planet, and you have in your physical body atoms that once existed in that body. In just the last three weeks billions of atoms that have gone through your body have gone through the bodies of every living species on our planet: a peasant in China, a tree in Africa, a squarrel in Siberia.

You replace almost your entire body in less than one year. (98% of all the atoms in your body are replaced in less than one year). You literally make a new liver every six weeks, and new skin once a month, and new stomach lining every five days, and a new skeleton every three months, and brain cells and even DNA cells are replaced every six weeks. In two years you replace your entire body down to the last atom. Even if your physical body comes and goes, you as your thoughts, memories, emotions, feelings, desires, ideologies, all those things that make you, are constantly outliving your physical body.

The true nature of physical reality is that it is non-physical. All physical matter is ultimately made of subatomic particles that are moving at lightning speeds around huge empty spaces, and these particles themselves are not material objects. These particles are fluctuations of energy and information in a huge void of energy and information. The human body, or anything else that is physical, is proportionately as void as intergalactic space. If we could see the human body as it really is or anything else as it really is, we would see a huge empty void with some random electrical discharges. Everything physical is mostly empty space. Essential raw material of the universe, the stuff of which everything is made is non-stuff; and not only it is non-stuff, it is a thinking non-stuff.

A thought is an impulse of energy and information coming out from the same unified field that structures all the forces of nature that ultimately are experienced as physical reality. In other words, thought is a quantum event; it is a fluctuation in the unified field that transforms itself, as all quantum events do, into subatomic particles, which then arrange themselves into atoms, and then into molecules of matter, and ultimately physical world. And the physical body is part of that the world. Thought creates material reality.

Every thought (impulse of energy) translates into biochemical events -- molecules of neuropeptides are produced – “messengers from inner space”. Every cell of the body has receptors for neuropeptides, and so every cell of our bodies is affected by our thoughts.

The Electrical Patterns of Life

"The Universe in which we find ourselves and from which we can not be separated is a place of Law and Order. It is not an accident, nor chaos. It is organized and maintained by an Electro-dynamic field capable of determining the position and movement of all charged particles. For nearly half a century, the logical consequences of this theory have been subjected to rigorously controlled conditions and met with no contradictions."

These were the statements of Dr. Harold Saxton Burr, Ph.D., who was E. K. Hunt Professor Emeritus, Anatomy at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Burr was a member of the faculty of medicine for over forty-three years. From 1916 to the late 1950's, he published, either alone or with others, more than ninety-three scientific papers.

Dr. Burr discovered that all living things - from men to mice, from trees to seeds - are molded and controlled by electro-dynamic fields, which could be measured and mapped with standard voltmeters. These "fields of life," or L-fields, are the basic blueprints of all life on this planet. Their discovery is of immense significance to all of us. Dr. Burr believed that, since measurements of L-field voltages can reveal physical and mental conditions, doctors should be able to use them to diagnose illness before symptoms develop, and so would have a better chance of successful treatment.

"Electro-dynamic fields are invisible and intangible; and it is hard to visualize them. But a crude analogy may help to show what the fields of life - L-fields for short - do and why they are so important. Most people who have taken high school science will remember that if iron filings are scattered on a card held over a magnet, they will arrange themselves in the pattern of the 'lines of force' of the magnet's field. And if the filings are thrown away and fresh ones scattered on the card, the new filings will assume the same pattern as the old. Something like this happens in the human body. Its molecules and cells are constantly being torn apart and rebuilt with fresh material from the food we eat. But, thanks to the controlling L-fields, the new molecules and cells are rebuilt as before and arrange themselves in the same pattern as the old ones.

"Until modern instruments revealed the existence of the controlling L-fields, biologists were at a loss to explain how our bodies 'keep in shape' through ceaseless metabolism and changes of material. Now the mystery has been solved: the electro-dynamic field of the body serves as a matrix or mould which preserves the 'shape' or arrangement of any material poured into it, however often the material may be changed.

"When a cook looks at a jelly mould, she knows the shape of the jelly she will turn out of it. In much the same way, inspection with instruments of an L-field in its initial stage can reveal the future 'shape' or arrangement of the materials it will mould. When the L-field in a frog's egg, for instance, is examined electrically, it is possible to show the future location of the frog's nervous system because the frog's L-field is the matrix which will determine the form which will develop from the egg.

"To return to the cook, when she uses a battered mould, she expects to find some dents or bulges in the jelly. Similarly, a 'battered' L-field - that is, one with abnormal voltage patterns - can give a warning of something 'out of shape' in the body, sometimes in advance of actual symptoms. For example, malignancy in the ovary has been revealed by L-field measurements before any clinical sign could be observed. Such measurements, therefore, could help doctors to detect cancer early, when there is a better chance of treating it successfully.

"Dr. Louis Langman of New York University and Bellevue Hospital Gynaecological Service examined over 1000 patients using electro-metric measurements of the L-field. Dr. Langman and his assistants examined patients who were on the wards of the hospital and were subject to a variety of syndromes. They included fibromas, as well as the usual run of pathological events in the generative tract of these women. In those that showed a marked change in the voltage gradient between the cervix and the ventral abdominal wall, careful watch was kept through subsequent laparotomy.
"There were a hundred and two cases where there was a significant shift in the voltage gradient, suggesting malignancy. Surgical confirmation was found in ninety-five of the one hundred and two cases. The actual position of the malignancy varied all the way from the fundus, to the tubes and to the ovarian tissue itself. We had an astonishingly high percentage of successful identification of malignancy in the generative tract, confirmed by biopsy.

"In the growth and development of every living system there is obviously some kind of control of the processes. As a distinguished zoologist once said, 'The growth and development of any living system would appear to be controlled by someone sitting "on the organism" and directing its whole living process.' The Field theory suggested that it should be possible to determine the polarity and direction of of the flow of energy transformations in the living system. The organism, as a whole, depends on such directives for its continued existence; so also does atypical growth."

Dr. Burr decided to examine the electrical properties of cancer-susceptible mice to determine if the voltage measurements would change during the initiation and growth of cancer tissue. "The results of the experiment were surprisingly consistent. Twenty-four to twenty-eight hours after the implantation, changes were observed in the voltage gradients. This differential increased steadily and quite smoothly to reach a maximum of approximately five millivolts on or about the eleventh day. In the slow-growing tumors potential differences began to emerge on the third or fourth day, but reached their maximum of approximately three millivolts on the tenth or eleventh day."

In the control animals there were no significant fluctuations in voltage. "It is clear from these findings that the crest of atypical growth in the host organism produced measurable and reproducible electro-metric correlates."
"We had reason to believe that the electro-dynamic field could serve as a signpost for a variety of conditions because our experiments had confirmed our basic assumption. This was that the organism possesses a field as a whole which embraces subsidiary or local fields, representing the organism's component parts. We assumed, then, that variations in the subsidiary fields would be reflected in variations in the flow of energy in the whole system - as we had found in ovulation and malignancy. We decided, therefore, to look for further practical consequences of the theory.

"We soon found a definite relationship between nerve and tissue in the form of a potential difference, which can be used in quantitative tests of nerve injury. The potentials were not affected by vascular and sweating responses." Dr. Burr was able to measure the changes taking place in the L-field as wounds would be healing. During all phases of the healing process, gradient measurements could be made to show the body initiating various functions pertaining to wound healing.
Dr. Burr also decided to investigate if electro-metric technique might be useful in the neurological and psychiatric fields. He conducted numerous experiments with Dr. Leonard J. Ravitz, Jr., at one time on the staff of the Department of Psychiatry at Yale.

Dr. Ravitz found that they could establish baseline voltage gradient measurements for individuals who had normal mental functioning. "It became obvious to Dr. Ravitz's examination that by using electro-metric techniques on patients in psychiatric hospitals, patients - as a result of therapy or changing circumstances - could safely be discharged from the hospital when the voltage gradient indicated a reasonable return to normal." "Likewise, electro-metrics could show clearly enough when certain patients - no matter what the therapy was - could not return safely to normal life outside the institution.

"Another remarkable experiment by Dr. Ravitz, too, in which an emotion of grief recalled under hypnotic regression caused a 14-millivolt rise for two and a half minutes, suggests other possibilities. It cannot be too strongly emphasized that the electro-metric approach to emotional diagnosis can be completely impersonal and objective. The electro-metric investigator of psychiatric patients does not need to know the mental state of the patients. Yet his electro-metric findings tallied closely with the psychiatric diagnoses.

One of Dr. Burr's most exciting discoveries dealt with the recording of voltage changes during female menstrual cycles. "They hit on the idea of using a female rabbit because it is known that rabbits ovulate about nine hours after stimulation of the cervix. So a rabbit was stimulated and nine hours later was anaesthetized. After connecting the electrodes and watching through a microscope, suddenly it happened to the awe and delight of the scientists: at the moment when - through the microscope - they saw the follicle rupture and the egg released, there was a sharp change in the voltage on the recorder.

"Shortly after this, a young woman had to have an operation and volunteered to let this be done, when her electrical records indicated that ovulation was imminent. When her voltage gradients started to rise, she was taken to the operating room and an ovary uncovered. A recently ruptured follicle was observed - which confirmed the findings in the rabbit.

"These findings were historic in two ways. They afforded dramatic evidence of the part played by the L-fields in biology. And, for the first time, they showed that the movement of ovulation can accurately be determined electrically. This remarkable discovery has great practical implications. For numerous measurements of female L-fields have revealed that some women may ovulate over the entire menstrual cycle, that ovulation may occur without menstruation, and menses without ovulation. The potential importance of this knowledge to gynecology, family planning, and birth control is obvious. It also helps to explain why the 'rhythm method' of birth control is inadequate."

A patient of Dr. Burr's, a married woman, made good use of this discovery. For years she and her husband had longed in vain to have children. So, over a period of many weeks, she made regular visits to Dr. Burr's laboratory and measured the voltages in her own L-field with his instruments. When one day she saw them rising rapidly, she knew that ovulation was imminent, and went to her husband. A longed for - and much loved - child was the happy result of this application of Dr. Burr's work.
Dr. Burr was a great pioneer! Even today the results of his research could be utilized in numerous ways which would help toward greater health for humanity.

How Big Are You?

How Big are you?
100 pounds? 200 pounds?
5 foot tall? 6 foot tall?
30 inch waist? 42 inch waist?
Size 7 shoe? Size 11 shoe?

Those are body sizes.
How big is your mind?
How big is your soul?
How big is your spirit?

Now, think again, how big are you?

There is a game called Civilization in which you build your own society. There is also a game called Zaon where you build your own planet and galaxy.

Can you even imagine that spiritually you are huge? That spiritually you are one with the universe? We have all seen movies about some mad scientist who wants to control the world. Did you even stop to think what that madness symbolizes? We are scientists, and we already control our own world of experience. In your hands you are shaping your daily world of experience. Please enjoy this picture as a symbol of that creative power.

The Most Insane Thing Anyone Can Believe

The Absurd Notion of One, by Tim Freke

(What's the most insane thing that anyone can believe..... that we know what's going on'. Tim Freke says that life is not what it seems, that maybe we are not who we think we are, and that life is a mystery that cannot be totally and rationally solved)

They put the Hubbell Telescope at a random point in the northern sky, the size of a pinhead, and it looked like there was nothing there, but then they found 14 galaxies, each one containing millions of stars, all hidden within a mere pinpoint. You have only 4000 weeks to work this out, if you live to be 80 years old.
What’s the most insane thing one can believe? That they know what is going on.

Most of us are so unconscious that we don’t even notice the most obvious thing about our human predicament, which is that it is profoundly mysterious, and yet nearly everyone spends their time as if it wasn’t. Most people get up in the morning, rush around all day as if they know exactly who they are and what needs to be done. And yet the reality is no one knows what they are doing.

I used to work with people at the time of death and bereavement, and I saw that when people meet death, all of that “I know what is happening” jus suddenly breaks down and they are catapulted face to face with this awesome mystery. Do you have a sense of absolute wonder about life?

I have this sense that there is one idea which if it were taken seriously and really understood, and especially if it was actually experienced, would change everything. Its an incredibly simple idea: the absurd notion of oneness.

When you have a dream, you have two identities. On the one hand, you are a distinct person in the dream, the person that you appear to be, and its seems very real, but its not who you really are. Who you really are is the dreamer. You are the awareness within which the whole dream is arising. Now you have two identities. On the one hand you are the person you appear to be in the flow of experiences called life: I am Tim. But what I really am is what is witnessing that, the awareness in which the whole scenario is arising. My identity has a polar nature. You’re in the movie, but not of it. You’re in the dream but not of it. In the dream we are each playing definite characters, but if you step back, there is just one of us witnessing the whole thing. Maybe you are playing a part in the movie of life, and at the same time you are watching it.

So what do you want? Loads of things? I want more money. I want more stuff. But if I keep tracing it back. Why do I want what I want? I want more money so I will have a nicer life, more holidays. But why? I keep on tracing it back. I find eventually I want to enjoy living. In everything I do, I want to feel good. Something is pushing me to want to feel good and if I try to understand that, I see that I’m Tim, and I want to selfishly feel good. I ask: what’s in it for Tim?
But if I step back behind that and recognize that “I” isn’t Tim, that “I” is everyone and everything, it turns into love because I want everyone to feel good, I want everything to be right for everyone, for everyone to enjoy this dream of love.

What is it then that you want? You wake up suddenly, and there you are. You have the knowledge that you exist, and yet you don’t know why. That moment when you break out of your cultural conditioning, when you break through the ideas and opinions with which you arm yourself against the mystery, that is the beginning of waking from the dream of separateness.

What are you in this mystery of life?

The Law of Attraction: An Example

We’re constantly creating whether we realize that or not, whether we are aware of that universal truth or not. What we put our attention upon expands. What we look at, what we think, what we believe … is always attracting our experiences into our life. Most of the time, we operate from a level of default thinking that is just a result of our parents’ thinking, our community thinking, our environment thinking, our upbringing, our schooling. And so we are unconsciously creating most of the time. So, conscious creation is just directing those thoughts and those emotions energetically, deliberately to attract more on target with what our heart really desires.

Vibrational harmony can best be described as our level of consciousness. At any given moment, we are vibrationally in harmony with what we’re experiencing in our lives. In order for us to intentionally attract a different experience, we actually have to become, whether conscious of it or unconscious of it, we have to become a vibrational harmony to that next experience. Now, in the world of energy, nothing is ever destroyed. Energy cannot be destroyed. It simply changes form. So everything that we desire is already in existence right now. It simply is in an energetic form that may not be materialized. So if what I want is to create, let’s say, the sale of my house. the sale of my house already exists on a different playing field, on a different level of consciousness. Let’s use the analogy of an elevator. Let’s say I am on floor three. The house sale that I desire is on floor four. It’s already there. I simply have to get in the elevator, push the button of desire, thought, emotion, belief and expectation, and I will raise my level of consciousness to where I’m now on level four. I open the door. Poof! There’s my house sale. It already exists. Becoming in vibrational harmony is simply raising myself to a full expectation of the next level of experience, i.e., getting off on level four where my house sale is. How this sale will occur and when, is not up to me.

Using the example of my house sale, I am using the following formula, stated in several different ways:

In the universe, my house is for sale; In my own universe, my house is sold

In the passing away world, I have a house for sale; in the newly arriving world, I have sold my house

In the world of appearances and sensory data, I have a house for sale; in the world of a newly born reality and spiritual cognition, my house is sold

In the world of consensual agreements, I have a house f0r sale; in the world of my agreement, my house is sold

In the world of creations, I have a house for sale; in the world of creativity, I have sold my house

In the world of old dreams made manifest, I have a house for sale; in the world of new dreams not yet made manifest, I have sold my house

In the Adam mind, I have a house for sale; in my Christ mind, the house is sold

In the world of involution, I have a house for sale; in the world of evolution, my house is sold

In the world of duality, there are houses that you buy, own and sell; in the world of unity there are only what houses represent.

In the world of unity, there are no buyers, sellers or houses, only one consciousness.

I am creating the experience of the house I own and the experience of the house I sold, and both are interesting

I am the creator of every experience I have ever had about any house

No one buys or sells houses, only experiences. Houses are like props in a play, they are changed to suit the particular scenario we are creating for our own experience.

Out of all the houses that we might experience, we only choose those that match our vibrational frequency through the law of attraction.

Everything in my world matches my vibrational frequency. When I raise or lower that frequency, I have experiences accordingly. I only have experiences, objects, and relationships which match my frequency.

I even attract and create the kind of God experience that matches my frequency. If I am fearful, I attract a fearful God; if I am angry, I attract an angry God. If I have a consciousness of abundance, I attract an abundant God experience.

Vibrations

Alexander Graham Bell was quoted almost a century ago as saying: “If you place a rod in the ground and electrically vibrate this rod, at first you would expect to hear a hum coming from the shaft. Should it be heightened further, it would eventually become magnetic. By adding more resonance to the rod, it would begin to produce electrical energies. Further increasing the rod’s intensity, would then cause it to become warm, proceeding onward through the temperature range; revealing colors associated with heat: red, orange, yellow, blue, violet and so on. Then, as the vibrations are augmented, it enters the radio spectrum, producing radio waves. Beyond that, it would enter the chemical range in the forty-eighth or forty-ninth octave. Still increasing the intensity of oscillation, it will begin to produce light around the fiftieth octave. A little higher up it goes into the realm of X-Rays. Here, it would become too dangerous to touch, or to be too near the rod. More rapid oscillations cause the rod to give off gamma rays, very dangerous to the human form. Then proceeding on up higher in the spectrum, the so-called cosmic rays begin to make their presence known. So from a few vibrations per second, to countless millions (some with seventeen or eighteen decimals) the rod continues to blur as it vibrates with increasing intensity. Eventually, it becomes invisible, and then who knows where it will go from there.”

By applying movement or heat to a rod, the frequency of the vibratory rate of the particles changes and our eyes pick up that change as electrochemical impulses which are transmitted to the brain where an image is produced which we call rod, sound, color, etc. We live in that image world, and we have a story about that world by which we live. We live in a world of vibrating particles to which we assign meaning. In this world there is no I and not-I, inner and outer. It is all I and it is all inner and it is not matter at all. We never directly experience the material world. We only experience our sensory impressions or consciousness of that world. The outer world is indeed a series of reflections of our soul. We have projected most of our imagery onto the screen of what we call “out there” and disowned most of ourselves. We must re-absorb those projections if we would be whole again.

Self-Talk for Enlightenment

Self-Talk Formula for Enlightenment

In the good-versus-evil story of the universe called “reality,"
I have a house to sell; in my Infinitely Good vision of Reality, my house is sold.

In the good-versus-evil story of the universe called “reality”
I am 78 years old and have decent health; in my Infinitely Good vision of Reality, I am immortal.

In the good-versus-evil story of the universe, I sometimes feel bored and sometimes overwhelmed; in my Infinitely Good vision of Reality, my life is flowing just as it should.

In the good-versus-evil story of the universe, I am often creating what I don’t want; in my Infinitely Good vision of Reality, I am the divine being I want to be

Anxiety and Enlightenment

What does enlightenment have to do with anxiety, and anxiety with enlightenment?

Anxiety is symbolized by the figure 8 and enlightenment by the figure ∞. Figure 8 represents the finite world of perception; ∞ represents the infinite. When we are trapped in the perception of the finite world and its symbols, we are anxious. When we are conscious of the infinite, we are being enlightened. Notice that 8 is merely the upright ∞. The finite is merely the misperception of the infinite. Entrapment is merely the misperception of enlightenment

Meditate on the Peace and Plenty Dove

A Miracle for Today, Anyone?

Symptoms & Miracles

A symptom is a downgrading; a miracle is an upgrading

A symptom:

• is the down-grading of the Very Good;
• is the intellectualization of the Very Good;
• is the emotionalization of the Very Good;
• is the falsification of the Very Good;
• is the fearfulization of the Very Good,
• is the victimization of the Very Good.
• is the somatization of the Very Good,
• is the cancerization of the Very Good,

Whatever can be done to the Very Good, we have done it, unknowingly, of course. If you formed it, you can transform it. There is no doubt that every person is pursuing his own restricted view of his good to the limit of his awareness 24/7. If you restricted it, you can expand it.

The Miracle is that everything remains as God created it.
Restoration of vision is all that is needed. The sun is still there: we just can’t see it. Awakening is the best form of medication.

A miracle is an unexpected event that occurs because of laws we don’t understand, for example, the Law of Transmutation

Transmutation is the miracle of changing ice into water, water into steam, steam into air, or air into rain. Transmutation is the miracle of changing one energy into another, a lower energy into a higher energy. This is accomplished by a shift in consciousness.

Are you a conformer or a transformer? Be not conformed to this world (limited thinking) but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. (Romans 12) Do you live by your story or by the Truth hidden within it? Do you resist your symptom or transform it?

Are you a perfect spiritual being with a flawed story; or a flawed human being with impossible/frustrating dreams? The answer to that question determines whether you can be a magician, an alchemist, a healer, a Holy Spirit hotline, a modern Jesus, or a victim of the story we tell ourselves.

If you do not see with divine eyes, you will de-grade everything you look upon. You will be mediocre, limited, slow, vague, going in circles, and broadcast negative energy everywhere you go. The sick story makes people sick. The flawed story makes people feel flawed. The divided story makes people experience bi-polarity, depression, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, and even schizophrenia. The worthless, empty story makes people addicts. The superior/inferior story makes people feel separated, deprived and trapped. The poverty story makes people poor.

Awareness of the Infinite Good makes us functional, confident, light-hearted, productive, healthy, wealthy, peaceful, unconditionally loving, forgiving, and creative.

Whenever you experience negativity in any form, just say “Only the Infinite Good is real.”

On an enlightenment scale of zero to 1000, need, lack, lust and ego desire operate at about 125, more or less. Inspiration, thanks, and love operate at about 500. So I choose to transcend the need level, the lack level, and operate only on the fullness level, which says that the Lord is my shepherd, I am not in want. I can dissolve, eliminate, let go of, and forgive any sense of lack or frustration about lack and allow the Infinite Good to function completely in my consciousness today. All thoughts feelings pictures and frustrations about deficit are illusions. In reality, there are no lacks or limitations, which are all illusions. The question is whether I can remember to claim the infinite when things are not going my way, and be thankful, letting go of my attachments and resistances.

Seek ye first your divinity and your humanity will be added unto you. Seek ye first your goal and the means will be added unto you. Seek ye first your vision, and the how, when and where will be added unto you by the Infinite Good. The divine is the alchemicalized human. The human dissolves into and becomes the divine. The old, less useful, human particle dissolves into and becomes the new, more useful, divine particle. One particle dies and its energy is reborn into another particle.

Yesterday I was counseling with a client entangled in a long-term court battle. I said to him:

“I have some very good news for you today. Our trust for each other is bearing fruit. I agree 100% with your real goal (to be happy), but I doubt that the means (winning the court case) to that goal will work. We have to see the difference between the goal and the means. We have to see what your real problem is, and not assume that the symptom is the problem. When we mis-diagnose, we mist-treat. We have assumed that the injustice of the courts and your resultant bad health are the problems, but suppose these are only symptoms? Then the means chosen to cure these problems would be ineffective.

We need a context in which to re-diagnose and move from symptom to the real cause of your stress. This context for this re-diagnosis is that the whole universe exists in the mind. Injustice in the legal system is a mental representation. We attract to ourselves whatever we assume in our minds to be real. If the court system is just a mental representation that we have concocted, then we have more choices about how to understand and address our pain and suffering. Let’s consider that imagination is the most powerful force in the universe, that its misuse creates all of our problems and that we unwittingly attract responses that vibrate on the same frequency that our imagination is working on. If you have produced your problem, you can change the frequency on which your imagination is working, and change your experience. By changing your mind, you change the world of your experience.

Right now I am speaking not to your human reason and human understanding, I am speaking to your infinite imagination. Your human belief system is operating on the assumptions of limitations, threat and survival. Your divine imagination has no limits or threats except those that you allow yourself to agree to. If we can relax the noisy, controlling, fearful mind, so that we can hear our divine guidance, we can re-claim the power we have given to circumstances, people and the human story in general. We have been living this sensory, opinionated, fearful story for centuries. It has become a collective mindset, a matrix that everyone seems to agree to, thus resulting in a mad, mad, mad world.

This sensory noisy human mindset creates its own suffering and self-sabotage, with victimization and anxiety as its chief trademarks. Our first reason for being here on earth is to see and dissolve this story, and then to allow our Infinite Good to unfold and operate. Doubt is the main obstacle to this two-step process. We doubt that our pain arises from an illusory story that we have created. We doubt that we are an unlimited being full of peace, joy and freedom, which we could bring back into awareness.

What you want is right on, but the way you are going about it is getting you what you don’t want. Therefore, let’s set our sites on what we want and leave the means to God. Let’s trust that ‘of myself I can do nothing, but the Father within does the work,’ as Jesus said. We envision our wants and desires, and God fulfills them. We ask and God fulfills in his own way and time. Thus we can remain in peace in the process. We don’t have to manipulate the world and the people in it with our ego forcefulness, begging, and stressful cleverness. Our biggest challenge is to clearly state what we want. Ask and you shall receive. Our part is the asking. This process applies to the small and to the large. There is no order in the difficulty of miracles.”

The New

What are our chances for happiness if we do not go for enlightenment today? Unless and until we commit to awakening, we just repeat the past. We continue to live within our box, our familiar comfort zone of mediocrity. Everything in society is just a repetition of our dreary past 1000 lifetimes. Wars are nothing new. Technology and weapons of war are nothing new. Violence, suicide and murder are nothing new. Breaking the law is nothing new. Titilating gossip is nothing new. Religion and religious power struggles are nothing new. Heresy hunts are nothing new. Addiction is nothing new. Quack doctoring is nothing new. Greed is nothing new. Settling for less is nothing new. Ho hum

So what is really new? Transformation is new. Self-discovery is new. Awareness is new. Enlightenment is new. Getting out of the ego box is new. Re-claiming the power of our divinity is new. Consciously allowing the Christ to form in us is new. Remember (Rev. 21: 5) “Behold, I am making all things new!” Will today be a new day? Or will we continue with the same old unquestioned story of lack and limitation? And whose choice is that?

The Healing Powr of the Void

Judy is caught in her mediocrity drama, in which she swings back and forth between her indulgence and self-discipline about smoking, pizza eating and weight-gaining. She feels her life was better and healthier when she was disciplined, but she gets tired and lazy and falls back into self-indulgence. She complains that she takes the easy route. She fights with herself constantly about this vacillation. In working with this particular struggle in therapy, we noticed that everyone seems to have struggles and makes excuses and resolutions. So I asked her what is higher than such a struggle. What else could she focus on besides that? She drew a blank, but we kept on working with it. I asked her if she could step outside the drama and observe the Judy that is struggling? She could. I asked her if this struggle involved some kind of self-sabotage and she observed that it did, because she ends up getting what she doesn’t want.

Finally as the observer, she saw a bigger issue: that it is better to have problems and dramas to stew about than to fall into the void. She said that the void, the emptiness, is so painful, that anything is better than that, even her self-blame for the lack of self-discipline. I asked her if she could see that she has a story about the void, a story which makes the void seem painful. She had never thought of that. She said that everyone avoids the pain of the void, no matter what the cost. Any kind of drama, including self-sabotage, she said, is preferable to the pain of emptiness, insecurity and loneliness. I reminded her again that we are assuming that the void is painful rather than investigating our story about the emptiness.

If the so-called void, however, actually is the world of spirit (invisible potentiality), and we have labeled it meaninglessness, we can see why it is painful, and why we would prefer to be struggling with the form world, the visible world, the finite world of smoking, pizza eating, and weight gaining. And so we are hooked on drama, and we prefer its costs, rather than focusing on the higher knowledge of the spiritual being that we are. We are in the habit of thinking of ourselves as bodies in time, as just members of a particular tribe or society, and we sacrifice a great deal in order to feel that we “belong” to this mixed-bag society.

We are ignorant of the unlimited and unknown, and stuck with the limited and the known. We call the unlimited and the unknown by the name of the “void” or “emptiness,” and we complain about the limited and the known. And so here we are, stuck with anxiety. We give absolute meaning to our story, unconsciously, and to its opposites. We attribute absoluteness to the relative and infinity to the finite. We get caught in a forced choice about which side of a polarity is right and which is wrong, which is good and which is bad, and we can never decide. We vacillate back and forth, giving ourselves various excuses, reasons and explanations. The good is boring and the bad is fun but costly. Which world will we live in? We don’t see the perfect world at all. We only see the visible good-versus-bad world.

To see the perfect, the infinite, we would have to deal with the invisible, the intangible, the void-like world. Because the perfect world is invisible, we call it the unknown, the void, the emptiness, and we attach great pain to it. Pain because we cannot control what we call the unknown world. So the unknown becomes the bad, and the known becomes the good but lacking world. So let us stand before the invisible and unknown, without judgment, and let us observe it and the pain we have attached to it. Let us just stand and look and not run from the pain of our judgments. Let us investigate our story about this most horrible assumption imaginable. And so, Judy’s daily mediocrity and self-sabotage behavior has a purpose, to lead her to inquire into what she is assuming and overlooking, her unlimited spiritual potentiality, which has been called the void. That self-examination we call the enlightenment process. It is that place or process of which Rumi said: There is a field beyond good and evil, I will meet you there.” It is that which Jesus called “the Kingdom of God in you.” It is that of which St. Paul spoke when he said “The Christ is being formed in you.”

And so let us inquire into our self-limiting story and watch for the appearance of a higher realization, a higher passion, an uplifting energy.

Ho hum.

What are your chances for anxiety transcendence and happiness if you do not go for enlightenment 100%? Unless and until you commit to awakening, you will just repeat the past. You will live within your box, your familiar comfort zone of mediocrity. Everything in society is just a repetition of the dreary past 1000 lifetimes. Wars are nothing new. Technology and new weapons of war are nothing new. Violence, suicide and murder are nothing new. Breaking the law is nothing new. Titillating gossip is nothing new. Religion and religious power struggles are nothing new. Heresy hunts are nothing new. Addiction is nothing new. Quack doctoring is nothing new. Greed is nothing new. Settling for less is nothing new. Conformity and rebellion toward society is nothing new. Anxiety and its traditional "cures" are nothing new. Ho hum

So what is really new? Transformation is new. Self-discovery is new. Awareness is new. Enlightenment is new. Getting out of the ego box is new. Re-claiming the power of your divinity is new. Unconditional love and forgiveness are new. Remember Rev. 21: 5 Behold, I am making all things new!

Persistence

Abraham Lincoln Didn't Quit
Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. If you want to learn about somebody who didn't quit, look no further. Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times - but he didn't and because he didn't quit, he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of our country. Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up. Here is a sketch of Lincoln's road to the White House:

• 1816: His family was forced out of their home. He had to work to support them.
• 1818: His mother died.
• 1831: Failed in business.
• 1832: Ran for state legislature - lost.
• 1832: Also lost his job - wanted to go to law school but couldn’t get in.
• 1833: Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was bankrupt. He spent the next 17 years of his life paying off this debt.
• 1834: Ran for state legislature again - won.
• 1835: Was engaged to be married, sweetheart died and his heart was broken.
• 1836: Had a total nervous breakdown and was in bed for six months.
• 1838: Sought to become speaker of the state legislature - defeated.
• 1840: Sought to become elector - defeated.
• 1843: Ran for Congress - lost.
• 1846: Ran for Congress again - this time he won - went to Washington and did a good job.
• 1848: Ran for re-election to Congress - lost.
• 1849 Sought the job of land officer in his home state - rejected.
• 1854: Ran for Senate of the United States - lost.
• 1856: Sought the Vice-Presidential nomination at his party’s national convention - got less than 100 votes.
• 1858: Ran for U.S. Senate again - again he lost.
• 1860: Elected president of the United States.

Can You Love Reality?

I love reality; I welcome reality because I know that this little finite thing I’m upset about is just a small part of the Infinite. If this one star goes out, guess what, the galaxy is still shining. One cloud can appear to block out the sun, but the Sun is still there. Night can obscure the light, but the Light is still there. It can rain, but it will stop. It can storm but soon it will end. The finite passes. But you don’t have to wait til it does. You can know the truth right now. You can experience the ecstatic right now. Unless you are still telling yourself that the cause of ecstasy is an outside thing.

Rain or shine, you can choose Infinite Paradise right now. Drought or flood, you can know Infinite Contentment right now. Alone or together, you can know the Infinite Presence right now. Broke or not broke, you can know Infinite Wealth right now. War or truce, you can know Infinite Peace right now. Insult or complement, you can know Unconditional Kindness right now. Certain or uncertain, you can know the Infinite Good right now. No matter what the appearances in your story tell you, you can choose the Present Real right now.

If you do not give your center of power to anything finite, guess what, it will all re-gather into the center of you, where it silently and invisibly arose in the first place. You unconsciously chose to give away your spontaneity, your creativity, your power, your divinity, and then you complain that someone took it.

You learned to imagine that you are a victim of some finite event, object, thought or person. The matrix phenomena of religion and society agreed that you are not a free god.

In order to feel secure and to feel that you belong, you sold your soul to the country store and to your cultural idols. You imagined that you were not enough, and that you need to use others to feel okay. You forgot that you are It. You forgot Oneness with All. You forgot that you aren’t just a speck in the universe. You thought that being an angry innocent victim or a justified victimizer or a burdened down rescuer were your only choices. No wonder people lead mediocre lives, get sick and die. No wonder people think that being a bad guy is a novelty. No wonder people think that they ought to be good but can’t.

Wake up! Nightmares at night are enough, we don’t need to live them. Just as we can wake up from nightmares, we can wake up from daymares. If you weren’t living your nightmares in the daytime, you wouldn’t be anxious. You wouldn’t find gossip to be all that keeps you from boredom.. Gossip is boring. All of that gossip is old, million of years old. The latest news about murder, rape, war or cheating is all old stuff. Ho hum.

But what about waking up? That would be news! It might seem lonely at first, because about 80% of our dramas drop out of sight. Once you begin to wake up from the story of good and evil, you may find that you have less interest in gossip and petty criticisms, and even in accumulating more stuff. Winning the next argument has little zing left in it. Even sex is not the highest point of your day.

On the scale of enlightenment:

Gossip is about a 2;
Being a bad ass is about a 3;
Fighting to be right and win is about a 3;
Sex and being rich is about a 4;
Food is about a 2;
Surviving is about a 1;
Unforgiveness is about a zero. In fact, unforgiveness is sound asleep or nearly dead.
Forgiveness is about a 5.
Thank you a 6.
Unconditional Yes a 7.
Absolute Kindness an 8.
Peace a 9.
Ecstasy a 10.
Beyond 10, you are a creator and words aren’t very useful.

The Joyful Jesus

THE JOYFUL JESUS

Rejoice Always
1 Thess 5:16 Rejoice and be glad
Matthew 5:12

Suppose that God is pure bliss and that the world itself, when stripped of all form, is pure ecstasy. Wouldn’t that be a shocker! The world as pure ecstasy? Whoever heard of it! How far we have gone astray? How far we have missed the mark of truth? How much have we wasted our time, energy, money and minds? No wonder we are anxious!

Perhaps our dramas are just designed for contrasting experiences. What a joke! Don’t tell anyone, though. You would just get yourself killed. Remember, the ego is the watchdog, the big brother, the one watching you lest you escape your prison of false beliefs. And not just your ego, but your neighbor’s as well. No wonder we are anxious!

Can you say “Yes” to everything? You could if you were awake to ecstasy. Can you say “Infinitely, Yes.” Enlightenment then means being awake to ecstasy, to happiness, to bliss, to joy, to reality, to the Infinite Yes!

Will saying “yes” get you in trouble at times? Will saying “yes” lead you to doing some foolish things? Yes it will. But don’t be afraid to be a fool. Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying “yes” begins things. Saying “yes” is how things grow. Saying “yes” leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say “yes.”
Stephen Colbert

“No” is the way we try to protect ourselves in a hostile world. ‘No” is not an ecstasy choice. “No” is a fearful, anxious choice. There is nothing that can hurt you if you are tuned into Peace.

“Rejoice, I say, rejoice always.” The Joyful Jesus, the Laughing Jesus, is not so far off the mark then? Rejoice, not that the bad guys are going to hell, but that there are no bad guys and there is no hell. That would be truly rejoicing about the Infinite Good, and not the separatist, anxious, good guy/bad guy story of good and evil.

For rejoicing, what do we need? Anything that we need that we don’t have right now, is an impedence, an obstacle, a part of the Big Lie. What is the Big Lie? That we are not ecstasy, and that God did not make us out of an ecstasy substance. We are made out of ecstasy, the essence which we mistake for emptiness or space. Another word for ecstasy is light. I am light. I am ecstasy.

Look over your list of requirements of what you must have/achieve before you can have ecstasy. Whatever you find on that list is a list of misperceptions. Creation is an extension of the Creator. If the Creator is ecstasy, then creation is ecstasy. Whatever you have placed on your list of things required for happiness, is the cause of your suffering. You are happiness.

Suffering is your list of what you can’t be, have or do. Suffering is whatever you believe is withholding ecstasy from you. Separation from God is separation from ecstasy. You are not separated from God nor from ecstasy, except in some cock-and-bull story in your mind.

That is why we can truthfully say that anxiety and its attendant suffering is unawareness of the Infinite Good, or Ecstasy. How could you ever experience ecstasy if you are not ecstasy? Yet you have experienced happiness, whether it was from a drug, from winning a game, from sex, from food, from money, etc.

If you were not ecstasy, you could not experience ecstasy. The mind tells us that happiness comes from some outer object, person or event. But one day a sunrise brings ecstasy and the next day sadness. How can the same object provoke happiness and sadness? How can the same woman bring you to heaven (wedding) and to hell (divorce)?

Clearly, you are ecstasy. You give objects/events the power to evoke various experiences. If you could get behind or underneath all events, all experiences, all emotions, all relationships, and all objects you would experience pure bliss. The mind assigns various meanings to various experiences. “What is one man’s food is another’s poison.” Clearly, you create your own suffering by your self-chosen and society-induced belief system. Drop it, and what is left? Pure ecstasy. Without your story of good and evil, you could experience nothing but the Infinite Good. Nothing but ecstasy exists except in the fantasyland of the ego-mind.

Unawareness of your Infinite Good, your Infinite Ecstasy, arouses anxiety in its thousands of faces, which then prompts you to try thousands of remedies, which then brings you to the additional anxiety of perceived failure. All of it is fictional, just a bad dream. Even if everyone on earth dreams this same dream, it is still an illusion. Such thoughts, though illusory, still have the power to change beautiful crystals into ugliness, as Dr. Emoto has amply demonstrated. And, as A Course in Miracles says, you do not have to change the world, just change your mind about the world, and the world will change accordingly.

Awareness of ecstasy, then, is the most powerful force for change we have in this universe.

Learning from a False No

I try to say yes to whatever I live. Without that first appreciation, my no can only mean repression.
John Dorsey

Yes. Yesterday was my best day ever. I realized that I had a notion of what a good day is or should be. I failed to see that whatever that day is, is good. I had a notion of what a good day should be and I was saying No to the day that was and I got upset. I was saying No to what is. I thought I “knew” what should be. When it wasn’t what I thought was good, I began to say No. I began to resist. I got upset with what is. I didn’t realize I could say Yes. I gave my opinion power over the facts. I thought there was something to resist, to say No to. So, yesterday was my best day ever. It was a day of realization of the Infinite Good which I didn’t see. So I re-vision it. It was a perfectly imperfect day. Now as I re-visit it, I say Yes to the way it was, including the upset. The upset was an inevitable result of the No I was entertaining. I became a victim of that No. Now I can say Yes even to that No foolishness, and to the “victim” consequences of that “No”. My judgment was that the Infinite Good was not present, and so I got upset. That upset was perfect for my learning the truth about the falsehood of No and the Truth of Yes. Today I am more aware of the truth of Yes.

We Live in a Yes Universe

Since the Universe is a Yes Universe, it is all synchronized, harmonized, and connected. Every event in your world is for your benefit. There are no accidents, no merely chaotic, haphazard, random occurrences. Every event is God speaking to you. Can you see, really see? Can you hear, really hear? When you really see and hear, the drama will open up and you will see and hear God’s Yes. When you release even a smidging of your belief that you are a victim, you will begin to see and hear things you can’t detect now. You will be amazed, awe-struck, and uplifted.

How can you accelerate this process of awakening? The next thing that happens, ask yourself how this could be a blessing, a gift, a step on the path. Our mind is so busy with its anxious story-telling and self-saving remedying, that we just don’t see or hear the truth. Just relax. Just wait. Just listen. Just activate your X-ray vision. You can see through anything. And what will you find then? Synchronicity. Everything is synchronized for your benefit. You will begin to see that your stress is arising from your victim story and your struggle to control your world of experience, The story of good versus evil, if it were true, would require a degree of control that none of us has. We would be worn out with our failures and limited successes with any such scheme. Let’s face it, what can we control? Everything? Very little? Nothing?

Then you come to question # 2: does life need controlling or just understanding, just awareness? Every human choice springs out of assumptions. Just suppose you decide to assume that everything is happening for your benefit instead of your existing belief that its all random good-versus-evil. Suppose that you choose to be thankful all day today. Suppose you expect God to be blessing and directing in every event today. Suppose you assume that today will be the best day you ever spent? Suppose you choose to look and listen for God’s hand and voice today? Suppose that when you get anxious, you relax consciously. Suppose that you notice your every victim thought and let it go.

Will you experience synchronicity, miracles, blessings? Remember, this is a Yes Universe, and our old story about the universe is a yes-and-no story which you can’t win. Yesterday and tomorrow are control fantasies. Now is your door to truth. If the Infinite Good is here now, why would you need to control it? Awareness is the key. Awareness tunes you into the Yes Universe and to its synchronicity. Everything you ever thought you wanted is here now, in potentiality, waiting to manifest in form. Peace be with you.

Just Imagine!

The battle is won, the deal is done, all is well, I take my stand. Heaven is my consciousness and earth is its solidified state. I rejoice in the new world I see. The impossible has become possible. I live in that victory. I am that which I desire to be. Neither time nor space is a barrier to this consciousness. I see a new heaven and a new earth arising in me. In this consciousness there is no lack, no war, no tears, no frustrations or needs. All is flowing and I am that flowing. Tolerance is only a stage in which time is renewing itself in keeping with Eternity. The perfect is here, the imperfect is passing away.

Seven Steps in Biblical Cosmology

There are Seven Steps in Biblical Cosmology

1. And God saw that all that he had made , and behold, it was very good. (Genesis 1:31)

2. And God caused a deep sleep to fall upon man, and he slept. (Genesis 2:21)

“3. If you eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you will not surely die, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5).

4.“I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid myself,” said Adam to God. (Genesis 3:10).

5. Pain in childbirth, you shall toil, sweat of your face, to dust you will return, etc. (Genesis 3: 16-19)

6.And now “Lest man take also the tree of life, eat and live forever, he shall leave paradise.” (Genesis 3:22)

7. Behold, I am making all things new (Rev 21:5) There is a second “Behold” found in Rev. 21: 4-5 where we are told that tears, pain, mourning, and death shall pass away because “Behold, I am making all things new.”

These seven steps in the human drama tell how we got in this mess and how to get out. 1. Creation is infinitely good. 2. Man went to sleep 3. The tempter said that knowing good and evil is the true knowledge 4. We bought it and went into hiding or unconsciousness. 5. Anxiety and suffering took over. 6. True knowledge is promised, the knowledge of immortality. 7. Behold the new.

The great teachers all say “Be not Anxious” or “Be not afraid” or “There is only fear and love, and fear is not real.” Yet, “Anxiety is the beginning of wisdom.” (Ps 111:10, and Prov 1: 7) Behold the meaning of anxiety: all things are being made new. Leaning on the old is anxiety-producing. The old is gone, only the anxiety about it remains.

The Tree of Life promised in Revelation will provide leaves to heal the nations. We shall eat of the tree of life (Rev 2:7) and the twelve fruits of the tree of life shall heal the nations (Rev 22:2) The River of Life will water the true tree of life, not the lie of good and evil. The true knowledge, the recovered knowledge of the Infinite Good will be revealed, and all anxiety, pain and suffering will be healed.

Awareness is Transformative

Awareness, in and of itself, is transformative
Ken Wilbur

Is awareness transformative? Something that simple can change your whole life? Then what is awareness? If we are creatures of habit, we must not be aware? Duh. You got it. We are creatures of habit. Our life story is a story of our habits of thinking. The main habit we have is assuming. Assuming makes an ass of you and me, I was told by an alcoholic in a treatment center years ago. And what is it that we assume?

Examine yourself. You can either assume or be aware, but not both. Assumption or awareness, that is the choice. Remain the same or change. Be conformed or transformed. This is our choice every moment.

Socrates questioned everything, every assumption. Jesus questioned everything, every assumption. So can you. Every thought, every feeling, every behavior, every habit. If you don’t question everything, you will remain stuck in your unconscious assumptions. It’s your choice. You can remain asleep or awaken. You can remain unconscious and anxious or become conscious and free. You can begin right now. You don’t have to wait for anyone’s permission or blessing. You don’t have to wait for graduation, for a promotion or for retirement. Today is the day of salvation.

But how? Maybe up until right now you never asked how. How? is a prayer. You just asked God a question. You will get an answer. But in order to get that answer, you will have to listen. You will have to be willing to change. You will no more be a creature of habit. Life is a crap shoot and everything is on the line. You are betting it all on the next roll of the dice.

If you are not a creature of habit, then who are you? Can you hold that question in mind for over 2 minutes? Try it. Secondly, you ask. What is reality? Uh oh! I didn’t expect that. Doesn’t everyone know what reality is? There you go again, assuming. Remember, we are going to question everything if we want to wake up. In this dream of life, in this rabbit hole, we have to ask questions. Assume nothing. Doubt everything. Be present or you will miss it. All you will see is yesterday’s old movies. And you will again be a bit player in the next TV drama.

Jesus asked 87 questions of those who wanted to wake up with him. “Couldn’t you stay awake with me even one hour?” he quipped to his sleepy students. Nope, we can’t, at least we haven’t so far. If we were awake, could we be involved in the insanity of war? In the insanity of gossip? In the insanity of mediocrity? In the insanity of blame?
Our assumptions are insane and we don’t even see it. We take anxiety pills by the truckload and never question that our anxiety is appropriate to our insanity, to our assumptions. Do you want to change or to be right? Do you want to be happy or to be right? Do you want to be transformed or to complain and criticize? Begin today. Question everything, every assumption.

How can you do that? I will give you a clue. Nothing exists except the Infinite Good. Try that one on for size. That one clue will shatter your view of your identity and your “reality.” What have you got to lose except your insanity, your assumptions, your desire to be right and mediocre? Join me today in the Wake-up Club. Renew your mind, and your world will change accordingly.

Let’s consider that God is speaking to us every moment, for example. Are we listening or are we just caught up in ego chatter. You could assume that God never speaks to you, or you could be aware that she always speaks to you. How is that for a wake-up call! Suppose everything that ever happened to you was a message from Eternity. Suppose you are deaf, dumb and blind to that possibility? Suppose that universal love, universal intelligence, universal power, and universal talent are yours! What habits of thought keep you from transformative awareness?

Suppose that you have never had a steady vision of reality? Suppose you are just seeing your own assumptions. No wonder life is boring, repetitive, mediocre, insecure and stressful. We are just listening to the old re-runs of our parents and our society and our educational system. Jesus said “The Kingdom of God is right here, right now, and you don’t even see it!” No wonder he was so turned on!

Assumptions or awareness, anyone?

All Desires are Holy

Every desire is holy, properly understood. Every desire, when analyzed as to its symbolic meaning, is a desire for the infinite. Every desire for the finite has a tendency to become a short-circuited desire for the Infinite. Notice what it is that you want. A car? You want a car to travel in. You want a car to reach a destination and meet yourgoals. But where are you going to go? And what for? A car is okay but it won’t get you where you want to go happiness-wise. The Infinite is not even in time and space. The Infinite is the Consciousness in which time and space exist. The Infinite is everywhere, within and without. But the journey moves in both directions, to inner depth and outer depth. Depth is spirit. Without depth you will only reach the surface and you will never be satisfied. You need a car for your finite trips and goals, but you need a different mode of travel to reach Infinity.. Here it is not a matter of miles or gasoline but of awareness. It costs nothing except your ego story. The destination is your center. You travel there by awareness. Ultimately, the desire for a car is the desire for a journey, which is a desire for God. Every desire, when analyzed correctly, is holy. Every desire which falls short of the target of Infinity is experienced as lacking.

3 Stages of Enlightenment:

1. Unawareness of Unawareness: our ordinary programmed matrix outlook, anxiety is unconscious, life is what you see
2. Awareness of Unawareness: transitional stage of confusion and change, anxiety is more conscious, life is changing and uncertain
3. Awareness of Awareness: new outlook, peace replaces anxiety, life is what you can envision

Good News?

The mess the world is in, is it good news? Absolutely. It means that we created a mad, mad, mad, mad world, and we can un-create it. Do you get it? We mis-imagined and we can re-imagine.

If we created madness, we can un-create it and allow sanity to emerge. Only sanity is real
If we created illness, we can un-create it and allow health to emerge. Only health is real.
If we created poverty, we can un-create it and allow abundance to emerge. Only abundance is real
If we created fear, we can let it go and allow love to flow. Only love is real.

Surely God did not create what we don’t want. Surely God is sane, healthy, abundant, and loving. Surely we can awaken from our bad dreams. One person, one day, at a time. How about you? How about today?
