The Hooking-Up Generation
How is this “hooking-up” generation involved in the devolution and evolution of the soul? Are they closer to getting out of Level One or not? They see their “good” as hooking up, right? The sexual and the drug path is their good. They want a permanent high, right? They want a permanent high without pregnancy? They want a permanent high through the body? So, what else is new? That’s Level One since the beginning of time. It’s just more out in the open. It’s just right out there on MySpace, right? No shame, no embarrassment, just hooking-up. No secret. So will it run its course quicker?
Is that all you want: hooking up and getting high? The Forbidden has become Ordinary. Just drugs and sex, that’s all. So, what’s next? There is nowhere else to go? Just more sex and drugs? More sex and more drugs with more people, and that’s it?
So what are you, a hedonist? Oh, that’s right, you don’t have time to study philosophy and history. Too much sex and drugs to find out what’s behind it.
Is God a hedonist? Is God higher than you? Does God ever come down? Is God bliss? If God is bliss, why did he forbid sex and drugs? Aren’t sex and drugs the ultimate high? Maybe we should be born with a needle in our brains where the sex center is located. 24 hours a day orgasm, right? Sex on the brain, right? Is that forbidden? Stay away from the Tree of Knowledge! Are sex and drugs the ultimate knowledge? The ultimate bliss?
Then you mean that the God of bliss didn’t want you to have what he has? He gets to be high, but we don’t? Or, is there another reason? Sex and drugs are surely a strong temptation, but is there a drawback? Does God have more than sex and drugs He wants to offer?
What are the drawbacks about sex and drugs? Make a list. If sex and drugs are not forbidden routes to bliss, they may simply be lacking. If bliss is who you are, why do you need to be “hooking up” to get it? If the wars, crimes, illnesses, accidents and stress all down through history were about the lack of bliss, why haven’t we been able to figure it out?
Isn’t there a permanent hook-up without all of the risks, dangers, diseases, jealousies, losses, loneliness, expense, labeling, secretiveness, and constant need for more? Is that why it’s forbidden?
You are already hooked- up. You were born hooked-up. You just thought you were cut off, left out, excluded, rejected, and victimized. The drive behind hooking- up is ignorance and anxiety. Sex and drugs are your medicine, your substitute religion, your forbidden search for the good where you will only find symbols. You are not really a slut, a whore, a cheater, a sneak, a druggie, an alchie, an addict, a pimp, a gay, a straight, or a prostitute. All of our anxious searching is just ignorant preparation for Level Two. Anxiety, not sex and drugs, is your path to freedom. Why would a god need sex and drugs for self-medication? Why would a god be anxiety-driven and controlled?
